Product Description
The Pelagic GT Fully Adjustable Transom Mount is compatible with Garmin GT 51, 56, and 54 transducers.
- Do you loose the image quality of your sounder once you increase in speed?
- Do you want to get better results and see fish arches and clean bottom contours from your Garmin transducer
- Have You installed your transducer according to manufacturers recommendations , research and friends only to find that its still not great?
- Increase speed = increase screen clutter?
WHY is this? (when someone else gets good results from their boat)
- Every boat is an individual, they rides differently, some plow , some ride high at the front , different motor , different Hull type, different transom and deadrise angles, loaded differently , trim angle, strakes, deep V's, lakes/rivers VS sea etc.
The factory mounting is extremely limited in its positioning. The transducer is great but the mount that supports it isn't versatile enough for every individual situation. That's why with some boat types, it works great and other not.
The factory mount:
- Has very little height adjustability.
- The built in spray plate can actually cause more problems than help.
- Has 15mm from the base of the rear fixing plate to the top of the transducer therefore it wont allow the transducer to reach deeper into the water or get lower on the transom.
The PELAGIC GT design has fixed these issues to get you more test positons to find that sweet spot.
If you're struggling to find the optimal position for your Garmin transducer, particularly if you have a pressed aluminium hull with strakes causing turbulence or a deep V hull where the transducer cant get deep enough, the Pelagic GT mount is designed to offer many more test positions.
Increased depth: The Ti GT mount can position your transducer up to 35mm deeper than the factory mount, giving you that option of testing positions below the turbulent water layer created by the boat.
Versatile adjustment: Features 60mm slots for a wide range of height adjustments, as well as quick and easy angle adjustments.
Enhanced positioning: The GT mount allows the transducer to be placed touching the transom or tucked slightly under it for the cleanest water readings.
Robust construction: 2.5 /3mm 316 grade stainless steel
Additional options can be added for extra features:
Spray plate tabs (not included, see photos): Provides low-sitting support for a deflection plate if your transducer is positioned deeper than recommended and experiences spray. Comes with hardware to bolt onto the GT mount (deflecting plate not included). SEE spray tabs
GT Jackplate: Allows for quick, one-minute height adjustments without the need to release, reseal, and retighten screws with every height adjustment. It also allows for stowing away to protect your transducer from damage, especially when beach launching or navigating rough roads. Comes with fixing hardware based on your boat's material.
Pelagic Gt is pictured with spray tabs for illustration only.
Spray tabs or GT jackplate are not included with this item and sold separately.
