Product Description
Deep drop positioning creating spray? Protect your outboard.
When you position your transducer deeper to escape aerated water and hold signal at speed, spray is often the trade-off. That atomised saltwater gets sucked into your outboard's air intake system and causes rust—externally where you can see it, and internally where you can't until it's too late.
These stainless steel support tabs bolt onto your TIG Integrity mount arms and give you a platform to attach a custom spray deflection plate that redirects the spray away from your motor.
How these tabs work
The tabs themselves don't deflect spray—they provide the mounting points for a deflection plate that you design to suit your specific setup. This approach works because every boat, mount position, and transducer depth creates different spray patterns. A one-size-fits-all plate doesn't exist, but these tabs give you the foundation to build what works for your configuration.
Custom plate design flexibility
Once your mount is dialed in for optimal sonar performance, you design a plate to fit around it. Material options include plastic, stainless steel, or aluminium (raw or powder-coated). We provide instructional videos and guidance to help you fabricate your own, or contact me and I'll help you design one.
Stainless steel construction
Tabs are marine-grade stainless steel. Won't corrode or fail in saltwater environments.
Compatibility—TIG Integrity mounts only
These tabs fit:
- TM2 ABYSS mount (1kW Airmar/Furuno transducers)
- Pelagic GT mount (Garmin GT transducers)
- Predator mount (Lowrance 3-1 transducers)
- A.I.M mount (Lowrance Active Image HD transducers)
- ECHO mount (Humminbird transducers)
Does not fit: Factory transducer mounts from brand manufacturers
What's included
- 2 stainless steel support tabs (1 left, 1 right)
- 4 sets of bolts and nuts (2 sets to attach tabs to mount arms, 2 sets to secure your deflection plate)
Not included: Spray deflection plate (locally made custom-designed to suit your setup)
Installation sequence
Fine-tune your mount position for optimal sonar readings first. Once you've locked in the sweet spot, design and fabricate your spray plate to fit around that configuration, then bolt it to these tabs.
Tip: Buy these tabs with your initial mount purchase so you have them on hand when you need to add a deflection plate later. Saves a second order and shipping wait.
Note: Product photos show tabs installed on Predator, TM2, and Pelagic GT mounts for demonstration. Design subject to change; current design shown in first images.
