Deep drop rear fixing plate- Garmin GT transducers

Note- this will suit the factory Garmin GT stainless steel mount by bolting to the Garmin footprint plate.( see pics with white background for reference)

The Deep drop heavy duty rear fixing plate  to suit Garmin GT transducer is designed to get your transducer to read deeper in the water.

Your boat underway agitates the top layer of water resulting in a turbulent layer beneath the boat.

Additionally aluminium boats with pressed strake hulls are designed  to introduce air under the hull lifting the boat as though it is riding on a layer of air, this air layer is a mixture of air bubbles and water =turbulence 

The factory mounting has only enough drop to get your transducer to skim the water, so if your boat creates excessive turbulence or your transducer is located too far out from the keel it’s not deep enough to send a pulse through clean water it will loose reading around 5 knots.

The Ti heavy duty mount will get you deeper and the rear slots are approximately 70mm long giving you a larger range of height adjustment.

Angle adjustment is done via the M8 bolts

Garmin factory mounts are made with a hinge bolt of ( approximately)6 mm and 8mm so if you have a 6mm hole then you would need to drill that hole out to 8mm to suit this mount.8mm bolt has stronger holding power to prevent slip.

Additions include : the Ti Jackplate for easy height adjustment and spray guard brackets to support a spray guard in case your transducer sprays.these are sold as a kit /bundle with cost savings.
